Storm London unlocks profits for retail partners

The timepiece takes inspiration from old fashioned combination locks in an era when we typically use 27 passwords per day to access our technology.

Storm London hopes that its big launch for autumn, the Kombi watch, will unlock profits for its retail partners.

The timepiece takes inspiration from old fashioned combination locks; an idea that came to the company’s designers when they were thinking about the number of passwords and combinations the average adult has to use in the modern world.

“With our digital lives being such a major part of our day to day life, we have to make a conscious effort every day, to ensure our personal information and online data is protected,” Storm says.

Taking inspiration from the digital age and our constant need for passwords and data protection, the British business created the Kombi watch, which displays the time with a dial that looks like a combination lock. “The Kombi is one of Storm’s most unique designed watches yet,” the company says.

The slate-coloured Kombi is worn on a textured silicone or brown leather strap, priced at £149.99.

It uses a unique quartz movement with a motorised barrel mechanism that Storm says has been several years in the making and is already making waves with watch aficionados.
