WatchPro Awards, which will take place this year in London on November 9, are firmly established as the biggest night of the year for the British watch industry.
Today, we are delighted to announce that the black tie gala dinner will be held for the first time in New York City on September 14.
Both events celebrate the achievements of the in-country retailers and brands that are contributing to the most successful period in recent history for the global watch industry.
America has been the biggest market in the world for Swiss, Japanese and German watchmakers for the past two years.
Exports from Switzerland, alone, to the United States hit CHF 3.9 billion last year, almost double the total to China.
The WatchPro Awards recognise the outstanding contribution that teams and individuals at American retailers and brands have made to that success.
Uniquely, the Awards are less about the incredible watches being manufactured, but more about the exceptional contribution that businesses in the USA are making.
Also unique to the WatchPro Awards, the finalists and winners are voted on by the industry with retailers voting for the brands they most admire and brands voting for the retailers they most admire.
Awards will be given out in categories such as the Luxury Brand of the Year, Volume Brand of the Year, Luxury Retailer of the Year, Family-owned Retailer of the Year, Best New Store, Best Marketing Activation, Lifetime Achievement Award and many more.
