WatchPro has been a fan of Kronaby ever since visiting the company’s headquarters in Malmo, Sweden, and learning the background to a business with the talent to turn its expertise in the Internet of Things into beautifully-made items that people will want to own and wear.
Kronaby watches only took shape as an concept at the end of 2015, but by March this year, the company was at Baselworld introducing its first full production collection to retailers.
The watches are already gaining traction with watch shops in the UK, which are reporting great sales through to consumers as well.
Kronaby puts classic watchmaking disciplines like build quality and aesthetics ahead of geeky stuff like apps and connectivity (this stuff is second nature to Kronaby because the team comes from the mobile phone industry).
This has led to watches that are a real pleasure to wear. The £545 Apex Black happens to be our favourite.
The monochrome watch face pops with legibility and works effortlessly with the masculine PVD coated black case and steel bracelet.
