Slimmed-down military watch widens Marathon’s appeal

Military watch specialist Marathon has slimmed down its latest rugged timepieces to bring them into line with current tastes for less bulk on the wrist.

The Canadian-based company has been broadening its distribution in markets including the UK with the aim of attracting more regular consumers outside the armed forces.

In particular, the watch still use tritium gas tubes to light up hands and hour markers, making them perfectly readable in the dark.

They use high accuracy and dependable ETA F06.412 HeavyDrive-PreciDrive Quartz movements.

There are two types of black nylon straps on offer, with prices for the watches at $800 or $830.
