All brands know that men are buying smaller watches these days, but there is still a place to make a statement, which is where Shinola’s Monster series stalks.
The latest addition to the line comes in the usual oversized 43mm sports watch case with 60-minute diver’s bezel, both in black ceramic.
It is water resistant to 1,000 feet but, because it has an exhibition case back, Shinola oddly describes it as a water sports watch, not recommended for diving.
Its black engraved dial is designed to be highly readable with lume-treated white hands and markers.
And it is water sport ready with an integrated black rubber strap; a first for Shinola.
Shinola has used an automatic Sellita SW200-1 three-hander with date movement, which has a 38-hour power reserve.
It is available to buy here for £2,100.
