Railroad timekeeper Ball pays homage to the great disruptor Henry Ford

Introducing the Engineer M Endurance.

Ball Watch Company is forever associated with timekeeping during the great railway expansion in the United States, but its latest Engineer M Endurance, which will go on sale in March, is celebrating the train industry’s greatest challenger, Henry Ford.

As Mr Ford made his iconic Model T automobile, he often relied on a Ball pocket watch for precise timekeeping and would often disassemble the timepiece to enjoy its inner components working together in complete harmony.

That pocket watch is now a part of history and is on display at the Ford Museum’s private collection in Ford’s hometown of Dearborn, Michigan.

Inspired by that timekpper and Henry Ford’s industrial and automotive genius, Ball is launching a new Engineer M Endurance.

The watch, which will go on sale in March, comes in a 40mm stainless steel case housing Ball’s Chronometer Manufacture Caliber RRM7309-CS with accuracy of -2/+4 seconds per day.

It will launch with a choice of four dial colours: dark blue, pale blue, green or black, with applied markers and hands lit up by Ball’s signature micro gas tubes.

Worn on an integrated steel bracelet, the Engineer M Endurance can be ordered now for £3,171.
