Rado is demonstrating its mastery of ceramics with two skeletonized watches added to its True Square Open Heart collection.
The square timepieces come in 38 x 44.2 x 9.7mm high-tech ceramic square monobloc cases in white or turquoise that match the colours of the skeleton cases and ceramic bracelets and crowns.
Both models are decorated with gems for hour markers. The white piece has a rainbow of different coloured gems for the 12 points while the turquoise piece only uses diamonds.
They use Rado’s three-handed R734 automatic movement, which has an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring and 80-hour power reserve.
The movement is exposed from the dial side and underneath thanks to an exhibition case back.
“Distinctive and design-led, these new Rado True Square Automatic Open Heart models combine the shape, the colours, and the performance of things to come,” the company says.
