Oris has made an 18ct gold version of its Aquis watch as a limited edition to raise money for the Coral Restoration Foundation.
By the end of this year, the foundation will have planted over 30,000 corals on Florida’s Carysfort Reef, an achievement described by Oris as a “golden moment” worth celebrating.
Three of the 50 gold watches are being donated to the non-profit organisation.
They have a retail price of CHF 17,900 but are likely to raise more if auctioned to raise money for the foundation.
The Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition has a solid gold case, crown and bezel with black and blue ceramic insert.
The 43.5mm automatic mechanical watch has a GMT function and can show the time in three time zones simultaneously using the 24-hour scale laser-engraved into the bezel.
It is worn on a blue leather with rubber coating and gold pin buckle.
