Orient Star has released a limited-edition moonphase watch with a mother of brown pearl dial inspired by the landscape of its native Japan.
The M45 F7 Mechanical Moon Phase takes its name from the star cluster Pleiades (M45), also known as Subaru in Japan.
It is a limited edition of 180 pieces that builds on the first mechanical moonphase watch launched by Orient Star in 2021 as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations.
“This model evokes the elegance of time flowing in Japanese nature with new designs inspired by the moon reflected on Lake Tazawa in Akita Prefecture expressed with mother-of-pearl and gradation,” the watchmaker explains.
Powered by an automatic mechanical in-house calibre F7M65 with 50 hour power reserve, the watch comes in a stainless steel case with a bronze treatment on its bezel.
The movement is presented via an exhibition case back.
It is sold on a brown leather strap that can be swapped for a metal bracelet.
