Grand Seiko is extending its Nature of Time series of watches with a piece inspired by Lake Suwa near its Shinshu watch studio in Japan.
The watch’s dial is made to look like the ripples of the lake in a quiet moonlit night.
Grand Seiko has chosen the Spring Drive calibre 9RA2 for the timepiece, which has 120 hour power reserve and is accurate to +/- 10 seconds per month.
It is visible through an exhibition case back.
The 40mm watch is water resistant to 100 metres and is retailing now for £8,700.
