Meistersinger has shaved three millimetres from the diameter and one millimetre from the depth of its 2017 No.03 dress watch collection.
The watches use a single-hand to show the hour and minutes, and have a small circular date window at 6 o’clock.
There is a broad trend for watches getting smaller this year, and German watchmaker Meistersinger believes trimming a little from the No.03 is significant.
“It may not sound like a lot, but makes a big difference when worn on the wrist — turning the 40-millimeter version into a completely different watch: more discreet, more elegant, and ideal for everyday use,” the company says.
The new No.03 is available in three colour combinations: opaline silver, ivory, and a blue dial with a sunburst design and red quarter-hourly markings. The models are available with suede leather straps in matching colors.
The stainless steel watches use a Swiss-made automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve that can be viewed through a glass exhibition back.
The collection, which is distributed by The Blue Company, is priced at £1645.
