MeisterSinger’s steel on steel Unomat automatic had not even gone on sale before it picked up a prestigious Red Dot design award in its native Germany.
The 43mm single-hander is hitting retail later this month, and is billed as a timepiece that will “never give up”, a reference to the sporty look and rugged reliability of a tool watch.
It is similar to the classic MeisterSinger N° 03, but a little more muscular with crown protectors and a sturdy five-row steel link integrated bracelet.
Inside, a Sellita SW400-1 is enclosed by layers of soft iron to protect it from radiation from cell phones and other electrical appliances.
There are blue and black dialed versions, both retailing for €1,990.
