MeisterSinger watches and their owners have a relaxed relationship with time — eschewing the relentless march of a minutes hand in favour of the barely perceptible passage of the day marked only in hours.
That equilibrium may be disturbed by a new indicator on the dial of MeisterSinger’s new Primatic series, which carries a prominent power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock.
Might anxiety creep in as the indicator counts down to zero over the 38 hours it takes the watch’s Sellita SW270 automatic movement to wind down?
Not likely. 38 hours is a long time, and the movement will remain fully powered with any typical day when the watch is being worn and automatically wound.
Everything else on the Primatic is familiar to MeisterSinger fans: its round, polished 41.5mm case frames sunray dials in blue, green, grey and ivory.
The needle hour hand reaches all the way to the edge of the dial so that it is easy to tell the time in five minute intervals.
The watch comes on a range of vegan leathers and goes on sale at the end of July for £2,190.
