LADIES’ WATCHES OF THE YEAR: Panthère de Cartier


Following the centenary year of Cartier’s Tank in 2017, it was the Panthère that got the red carpet treatment in 2018.

Rarely one to change a winning formula, the new collection did not stray far from the classics that have been enduringly popular over decades.

We have featured a beautiful bi-colour model here, but it is among a substantial range that includes pieces with double or triple loop bracelets in yellow, pink or white gold.

The bracelet seductively hugs the wrist while the gently rounded edges of the square dials — some bejewelled, others more restrained — add to the feeling of being in the comfortable embrace of an old friend or lover.
