Chanel marked the introduction of its Code Coco collection with a Parisian photo shoot in which Madame Coco herself might have appeared.
The watches are as much pieces of fine jewellery as they are timekeepers, with even the £4200 all steel model wearing like a luxurious bangle.
Moving up the price points Chanel has given us watches that combine steel and ceramic, steel set with diamonds and steel and ceramic with diamonds the most desirable at £8,800.
The name Code refers to the somewhat secretive way the watches are fastened; a mechanism that is based on the clasp of one of Chanel’s famous handbags.
Crack the code and you can take it off, but why would you?
