Jeanrichard teams with 2009 Hudson landing pilot

Watch brand Jeanrichard has signed up the pilot who made a famous emergency landing on the Hudson river in 2009 as an ambassador.

Jeanrichard celebrated the partnership with Captain Chesley Sullenberger, known as Sully, at an exclusive event in New York last night.

The watch brand said that the partnership with Sullenberger
s "founded on the authentic synergy between the brand’s core philosophy and dedication to those driven to do extraordinary things".

Jeanrichard chief operating officer Bruno Grande said: "Sully is not only an individual with profoundly admirable qualities under pressure, as we saw in 2009 with his emergency landing on the Hudson, he is also one who has taken and channelled it towards the improvement and encouragement of aviation safety and knowledge of this art. We are very proud to have him as a part of the Jeanrichard family and look forward to continued success together.”

As part of the partnership, Sullenberger will write blogs for Jeanrichard, the first of which is already up on the watch brand’s website.

Sullenberger said: "Jeanrichard’s Philosophy of Life truly speaks to me. The beauty of the watches, the passions of its artisans and managers, and even more importantly their idea of working together on projects that are close to my heart and spirit made me happy to join the Jeanrichard flight.”
