IWC reels in new film industry brand ambassador

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has appointed celebrated actress Tuba Büyüküstün as a brand ambassador for Turkey.

Other IWC brand ambassadors in the film industry include Cate Blanchett, Dev Patel, Rosamund Pike and Ewan McGregor.

IWC is well known for sponsoring annual film festivals and is a supporter of the development of the film industry.

Following her acting career and participation in social projects as a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador, in recent years, Büyüküstün has won the admiration of many fans in countries around the world, and particularly in Turkey and the Middle East.

She was a guest at the IWC Filmmaker Award in Dubai in 2015 and will now be attending similar events as an IWC brand ambassador. Büyüküstün joins Ferzan Özpetek as the second Turkish celebrity to be selected in a very thorough process.

Pınar Yılmaz, IWC Schaffhausen marketing director for Turkey, stated that IWC has been trying to unite the cinema and the art of watchmaking with a variety of projects.

She said: “It is a privilege for us at IWC to work with Tuba Büyüküstün, who has legions of fans in many countries around the world, particularly in Turkey and the Middle East. She is a highly versatile actress and a strong woman who shares the values of IWC with her interest in social issues, and she certainly has a very bright career ahead of her. We believe that her success will further strengthen our relationship with the magical world of the cinema and inspire us to launch new projects.”
