Building on the success of its revolutionary electrostatic movement, Accutron this summer introduced the Spaceview Evolution collection, representing a significant step forward in watchmaking.
The watches are powered by the innovative Accutron manufacture movement, which utilizes electrostatic energy and marks a whole new beginning for timekeeping.
The Spaceview Evolution models are a natural evolution from the original Accutron Spaceview 2020, seamlessly blending modern innovation with a nod to tradition.
While retaining the iconic case design of the Spaceview 2020, the Spaceview Evolution takes a bold step by rotating the movement 30 degrees, resulting in a fresh aesthetic.
This shift also repositions the turbines and the crown, with additional design elements including intricate bridgework with fine knurled finishing and contrasting blue and black screws that add a touch of visual flair.
Venturing into a new age of luxury horology, the Spaceview Evolution comes in two distinct styles. Both models feature meticulously polished 43.5mm stainless-steel cases, topped with a double boxed sapphire crystal that is both elegant and durable.
The timepieces are designed to be water resistant to 50 meters.
The two versions of the new Spaceview Evolution both feature a smoky gray open-work dial with a metallic outer ring. On each variant, the hour and minute hands are adorned with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in low light conditions.
The hand-assembled timepieces are available in a choice of colorways. One has a beautiful white knurled dial with blued hands and screws that complement its blue American crocodile-leather strap.
The second is more refined and dressy with a black knurled dial and classically styled silver Dauphine hands. The watch is presented on a black American crocodile-leather strap.
Both styles are available for $3,950, offering ultimate luxury at an accessible price.
At the heart of the Spaceview Evolution’s innovation is Accutron’s proprietary movement powered by electrostatic energy.
Twin turbines are set into motion by the wearer’s own movement, generating energy between two electrodes within the watch’s movement.
This energy is stored in an accumulator and powers two distinct motors: an electrostatic motor for the fluid motion of the seconds hand, and a second step motor for precise control of the hour and minute hands.
Integrated circuits synchronize these motors, resulting in remarkable accuracy with a deviation of just +/- 5 seconds per month.
