Hublot rewards loyal customers with first dibs on latest Takashi Murakami watches and NFTs

Hublot is creating a closed collectors’ community who have bought from the brand before by giving them priority access to buy the newest models.

Hublot and Takashi Murakami have unveiled a fourth artistic project together with the launch of 13 new NFTs and the same number of unique watches.

Hublot is creating a closed collectors’ community who have bought from the brand before by giving them priority access to buy the newest models.

In this case, the 2023 Murakami watches and NFTs will initially be on sale only to customers who bought one of 324 NFTs issued in April 2022 as part of the third collaboration between Hublot and Mr Murakami.

“Our partnership with Takashi Murakami is allowing us to construct a history that interlinks all the works we have released with Takashi, both digital pieces and the watches themselves. Faithful to its history, Hublot is once again first, unique and different in how it rewards its collectors, providing them with privileged access to both ownership of and trade in unique artistic pieces,” says Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot’s CEO.

This year’s NFTs are inspired by Japanese video games and television from the 1970s as well as the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black, the first collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and Mr Murakami, launched in January 2021.

One of 12 unique NFTs will be assigned to the owner of each watch.

They are linked to a limited edition of 13 Classic Fusion watches, which launched in New York this week and will be shown again at Watches & Wonders 2023 in Geneva.

Like the previous three collaboration watches, the 44mm Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Black Ceramic Rainbow is designed around Takashi Murakami’s signature smiling flower.

In this case, the 12 petals of the dial’s spinning flower are decorated with rubies, sapphires, amethysts, tsavorites and topaz.

The center of the smiling flower is placed on top of the sapphire glass to create a three-dimensional effect.
