Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair becomes the latest exhibition toppled by Covid

Any thoughts of a last minute dash to Hong Kong in September for the city’s Watch & Clock Fair will need to be put on ice.

Its government has recently tightened various disease prevention and control measures and extended entry restrictions for incoming visitors until further notice.

These restrictions mean that overseas exhibitors and buyers will have great difficulty joining the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TE, originally scheduled on 1-5 September 2020. As a result, the two fairs can no longer be held as planned, its organizer Hong Kong Trade & Development Council announced this week.

HKTDC is consulting with the industry to come up with other viable promotional solutions with details to be announced in due course, it adds.
