French watch business Herbelin has added a panda dial option to its Newport Héritage Chronograph line.
The Chronograph collection was launched last year as part of Herbelin’s 35th anniversary for the Newport collection and the new Héritage piece borrows from the design of the first model from 1988, which was a slightly slimmer quartz piece.
Herbelin had to overcome the additional height that an automatic movement brought to the 2024 mechanical watch but managed to keep the Héritage Newport to just 14mm tall on the wrist.
The steel watch is topped with a black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale engraved and inked in white and a silver sunray dial under box-style crystal.
Its 42mm case houses a customised Sellita SW510 automatic movement with 62-hour power reserve, which can be seen via an exhibition case back.
It is sold on a black leather strap for £2,600.
