H S Walsh is celebrating its 75th anniversary with new branding, a new website, and a confident outlook for the future.
H S Walsh & Sons is a leading supplier of tools, equipment, materials serving clients from individual designer makers and independent retailers to large industry groups such as the Company of Master Jewellers, the Signet Group and Rolex thanks to its excellent customer service.
With branches in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham and Hatton Garden, London H S Walsh is at the heart of the trade, offering person to person sales, backed up with help, advice and demonstrations from knowledgeable staff, many with decades of experience.
The company was founded by Paddy Walsh in 1947 operating from his own home in Beckenham, Kent and was run for over 40 years by his son, Desmond Walsh, before he took retirement in 2002 and handed to company over to the senior management team.
Current CEO Patrick Sheehan, part of that original team says: “I came up through the company and received training in the UK and abroad so have come of age with the company and many of our clients.
“Many of our current staff have also been with us for 20 years or more and we are at pains to keep all that experience available to our customers, looking to future proof the company. The past 3 years have seen us undertaking a number of strategic projects, including the implementation of a new accounting software system and strengthening our team with new skills.
“The branding update and new website reflects where we are today, proud of our heritage, but embracing all that is new within the jewellery and horological trades. We are proud to work with some key industry brands such as Durston, GRS, Bergeon and Horotec and are UK & Ireland agents for both Witschi Electronic AG horological testing equipment and Sunstone Orion laser and pulse arc welding machines.”
Walsh moved into their head office in Biggin Hill, Kent in 2010. The site supports their branch structure, handles their ecommerce through their website www.hswalsh.com and manages their corporate partner needs. Not only do they serve the domestic market but they trade world wide, exporting to over 150 countries.
Walsh’s commercial clock division, Grayson, has also benefited from a website update. The department deals with the design, installation, servicing and restoration of large scale clocks and time management systems for the likes of TFL, Goldman Sachs and…… Chief Engineer, Brian Gravener says;
“Graysons have been designing and installing clocks for 40 years and we are often the unseen team behind some major or iconic projects such as the Canary Wharf Reuters Plaza clocks and the TFL bus station systems. The new website showcases our capabilities giving increased confidence for designers, architects and project managers to approach us with their big ideas.”
With the new identity, H S Walsh & Grayson are poised to grasp the future with both hands.
