H. Moser & Cie. makes £109,000 Streamliner in red gold

Sports watch family is being expanded with the addition of a red gold model with a one-minute flying tourbillon on a blackest-of-black Vantablac dial.

It appeared at first to be unfortunate timing when H. Moser & Cie. launched its first steel sports watch, the CHF 39,900 Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic in January 2020, just weeks before the world was shut down by covid.

But after a terrifying couple of weeks, something interesting happened.

People worked out the world was not coming to an end, they were bored but saving money while in lock down, and were browsing online for somewhere to spend it.

Already sufficiently educated in the power brands of Rolex, Omega, Cartier, TAG Heuer and the like, research widened discovered independent watchmakers like Moser.

As a result, the Streamliner’s initial production run sold out almost instantly.

It has gone on to become a platform watch with a number of references launching since 2020 including a piece in collaboration with urban fashion brand Undefeated.

Now in its third year, the Streamliner family is being expanded with the addition of a red gold model with a one-minute flying tourbillon on a blackest-of-black Vantablac dial.
