Golfing boom drives Jaermann & Stübi to BaselWorld

Luxury golf watch brand Jaermann & Stübi said it is riding high on a "worldwide golfing boom" and as such will make its first appearance at BaselWorld when the show opens tomorrow.

Jaermann & Stübi has constructed a golf-themed booth for the world’s largest watch exhibition with a large turf-coloured display wall branded with the St Andrews’ course logo and accents of green throughout the two-floor structure.

At the exhibition Jaermann & Stübi will present new timepieces including a watch forged from the golf clubs used by Sir Nick Faldo to win the Los Angeles Open in 1997, which was his last tournament as a professional golfer.

There are 72 watches in the collection, each one’s case made from a different iron used by Faldo in the tournament. A percentage of the money raised from the collection will go to the Faldo Series, a not-for-profit organisation set up by the golfer to promote young golf talent around the world.

Other collection highlights include new watches from its ladies watch line Queen of Golf, which launched last year.

Jaermann & Stübi was founded in 2007 as a specialist golfers’ watch brand.
