Geneva’s 2021 watch shows pencilled in for April 7 to 13

Richemont’s Watches & Wonders Geneva event, and the new show with Rolex, Patek Philippe, Chopard, Tudor and Chanel, look certain to take place from April 7 to 13 in 2021, WatchPro has been told by sources close to both events.

Neither event has officially confirmed its dates, and the programme of shows next year relies on people learning to live with the now minuscule risk of death from covid-19, or mass vaccination.

Hopes that hotels in Geneva will be more affordable than during Baselworld look likely to be dashed.

A quick search for 5-star rooms for six nights from April 7 to 13 finds only one hotel still available, Hôtel de La Cigogne, with minimum prices of $650 per night.

The following week the price drops to $350 per night and for the week prior to the likely show dates La Cigogne has rooms available for $465.
