Fossil vice chairman Mark Quick to retire

Fossil’s vice chairman Mark Quick is set to retire from his role later this month, after five years in the role.

Quick will join the company’s board of directors on October 26. He has worked for Fossil for 17 years and has also served as president of the fashion accessories division of Fossil Inc. and president of its stores division.

He said in a statement: "The past 17 years of working with our incredible Fossil team have been the most rewarding time of my career.

“I am excited to stay connected with Fossil’s success story through my board appointment."

It is understood that his responsibilities will be assigned to other senior executives within the company.

Fossils chairman and chief executive Kosta Kartsotis said: "Mark’s contributions and accomplishments over the last 17 years have been an instrumental part of the growth of Fossil.

In August Fossil announced the arrival of John White as vice-president and chief operating officer at its US headquarters, after White left his role as North American president at jewellery brand Pandora.

"We look forward to Mark taking a new role as a Fossil board member."
