In launching the new SUB 300 Aqua Lung US Divers, the first carbon SUB 300, DOXA has once again teamed with Aqua Lung, a partner it first worked with in the late 1960s.
The new limited edition SUB 300 uses forged carbon for both dial and case, while its urban camoflage colour comes from the material too.
It also marks the first time the Swiss brand has given the SUB 300 a bright yellow minute hand.
Furthermore, the self-winding mechanical movement is certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), which tests for the best performance in precision, reliability, shock resistance, automatic winding and ease of maintenance.
It comes with a diameter of 42.5 mm, a pressure-resistant titanium chamber and a screw-down crown to protect the movement.
The watch is rated to a depth of 300 meters and comes with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating.
It also makes use of a black soft rubber strap.
The name, the SUB 300 Aqua Lung, harks back to 1968 when Aqua Lung co-inventor Jacques-Yves Cousteau secured an exclusive distribution agreement for his American company, US Divers.
Do any customers actually want a watch of any brand that looks like a burnt piece of wood?
