Chopard shoots for the stars as it renews Cannes film festival partnership

Watch brand has been the official partner to the festival since 1998 and will be there alongside leading actresses and actors when the 12-day event kicks off next week

Chopard has reiterated its commitment to the Cannes International Film Festival ahead of its 77th edition.

The watch brand has been the official partner to the festival since 1998 and will be there alongside film actresses and actors once the 12-day cinematic event kicks off next week.

Ever since Chopard’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele redesigned the Palme d’or in 1997, the Maison’s workshops have enjoyed the exclusive privilege of crafting all the trophies awarded at the festival’s closing ceremony.

With its heart-shaped stem and 19 leaves made of Fairmined-certified ethical yellow gold set on an emerald-shaped rock crystal base, the Palme d’or vibrantly symbolises the historical partnership between the Geneva-based Maison and the Cannes Film Festival.

This year, Caroline Scheufele will unveil 77 jewellery creations inspired by the ‘Contes de Fées’ theme.

Orchestrating the encounter between creative designs and exceptional gemstones, this fairytale jewellery will be made available to actresses for the famous staircase ritual at the Palais des Festivals.

During an official dinner of the festival, the prestigious Trophée Chopard will be presented to an actress and an actor who have made a promising start to their careers.

Throughout the Cannes fortnight, Chopard will host its guests in the renowned Chopard rooftop on the 7th floor of the Hôtel Martinez.
