Chaumet, the historic jeweler of French royalty, has introduced bracelets in steel and gold to its Joséphine Aigrette watch line.
Joséphine Aigrette watches and jewellery get their name from the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and the French term for the raised front of a crown or plume, which is seen in the design of its signature pieces.
This design signature is picked up in the watch collection, with a teardrop-shaped case and dial based on a central gem in a tiara or crown and said to the favourite cut of Joséphine.
With the new bracelet versions, the pointed top of the case, with a diamond-set bezel, almost meets a notched end to the bracelet, also gem-set, which wraps the wrist and stays in place without the need for a clasp.
Each links is designed in the emblematic V-shaped aigrette motif.
The stainless steel with diamonds piece is retailing for £6,350 while the gold model is £25,600.
