British watchmaker Elliot Brown is obsessed with sailing and other watersports. The team was delighted to sign up to become the official timekeeper for this year’s Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and to produce a limited edition Broadstone Adventurer to promote alongside the race.
The Broadstone 505-001 Clipper Race UTC Limited Edition is limited to just 1000 pieces and priced at £495. It is a virtually indestructible timepiece, designed to survive on the wrist of a round the world adventurer, thanks to Elliot Brown’s proven shock and water-proofing systems.
The watch has a UTC hand, (the global timing system used at sea) to allow Clipper Race crews to keep a close eye on the time in an additional zone, either at home or in the next port, via the 24 hour markings engraved on the outer bezel.
In another sailing reference, the indexes on the dial are red on the left hand side and green on the right – the same colour coding to denote port and starboard on a boat.
