Beaverbrooks backs Elmer’s Big Parade charity initiative in Blackpool.

There are 71 decorated elephants, large and small, around Blackpool that will be auctioned to raise funds for a local hospice in June.

Beaverbrooks is supporting Blackpool’s Elmer’s Big Parade, which sees a trail of elephant-themed art decorating the Northwest city for the next two months as a way to raise money for the Brian House Children’s Hospice.

The national jeweller has sponsored an elephant named Elmer’s Nebula, which can be seen outside Beaverbrooks on Church Street.

Nebula, and all other elephants on the trail, will be auctioned after June 9 when the Big Parade ends, with all funds donated to hospice.

A total of 71 Elmer elephants, all decorated by local artists, have been created.

Beaverbrooks’ piece was designed and decorated by Harrie Heath/Dearing.

“Beaverbrooks proudly supports Brian House Children’s Hospice, which is part of Trinity Hospice, Blackpool and is the only children’s hospice on the Fylde coast offering specialist care to our community’s most fragile children and their families,” says Anna Blackburn, managing director of Beaverbrooks.

“We have supported Trinity for over 30 years by sponsoring many incredible events such as the Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10K Fun Run, the Beaverbrooks Bike Ride and now we’re delighted to be part of the biggest ever art trail in Blackpool,” she adds.
