Audemars Piguet ambassadors take publicity stunt to new heights

Dream Team takes aim at flying target against a backdrop of the night time Manhattan skyline.

As publicity stunts go, Audemars Piguet’s latest challenge for its golfing brand ambassadors was more dramatic than most.

The watchmaker’s professional golf squad, which it calls the Dream Team, were invited by Britain’s Ian Poulter to the top of a Brooklyn skyscraper to compete in a competition to hit a target flown by drones over the East River.

Wesley Bryan, Patrick Cantlay, Emiliano Grillo, Tyrrell Hatton, Andrew Johnston, Xander Schauffele, and Peter Uihlein took up Mr Poulter’s challenge, and can be seen firing glowing golf balls into Manhattan’s night sky to reach the moving target that was lofted by four skilled drone pilots.

“With this rule-breaking and innovative production, Audemars Piguet shows once again its dominant role in pushing the sport’s boundaries. Such a unique experience fosters an exceptional sense of camaraderie among this team of exceptional talents,” Audemars Piguet says.
