Resonance movements, in simple terms, are designed to be more accurate than regular mechanicals because they have two balance wheels working at the same frequency, but in opposite directions.
Twin hair springs are kept synchronized, in the case of Armin Strom’s manufacture Calibre ARF21 hand wound movement, bv a resonance clutch spring.

The movement is used in the latest Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance – Manufacture Edition Blue, a line extension of a collection first seen in 2016.
This is an elegant stainless steel dress watch; slim at just 11.5mm high and 43mm in diameter.
It has an off-centre dial in dark blue dial with a grain-textured centre and a circular satin-brushed hour ring with applied polished indices.
The dial is balance by two running seconds indicators and the exposed balance wheels to the left of the face.
A pusher above the watch’s crown allows the two running seconds indicators — turning in precisely in mirrored clockwise and counter-clockwise directions — to be reset to zero and visually track the state of resonance.
Every element of the dial and movement are finished in painstaking detail by hand.
Perlage, satin-brushing, chamfering and polishing are all used to elevate the watch into a wearable work of art.
