Let us start with the price: $1,850 for a limited edition watch made by the Bolzi brothers who both graduated from watchmaking school in La Chaux-de-Fonds and joined the family business, Aerowatch; a watchmaker that can trace its roots back over a century to 1910.
The Régulateur Automatique 1942 Limited Edition is a lot of watch for your money and only 100 are being made.
It uses a Sellita SW266 automatic regulator movement with a decorated rotor on show via an exhibition case back.
Aerowatch has a passion for regulator watches, where hours, minutes and seconds are displayed independently from each other.
In the case of the Régulateur Automatique 1942 Limited Edition, the time is told with a blued central minutes hand with subdials at the top and bottom of its silver hobnail-textured dial for hours and seconds.
It comes in a curvaceous 42mm stainless steel case with an onion crown. It is worn on an embossed leather strap.
Aerowatch describes itself as a family-owned, human-scale watchmaker with a commitment to perpetuating the tradition and passion of Swiss horology and craftsmanship.
It is run by brothers Jean-Sébastien and Fred-Eric Bolzi.
