Entrepreneur, survivalist and chief scout Bear Grylls has put his name to an environmentally-sensitive version of its Survival Master Chronograph.
The collection’s 42mm case, bezel and straps are made from upcycled water bottle plastic reclaimed from the ocean and processed by Swiss business #tide.
There are three colour options for the Luminox Bear Grylls Survival Master #tide Chronograph 3740: matching dials and straps in yellow, green and blue.
Using sustainable materials for the watches is part of a long-standing move towards limiting environmental impact at Luminox’s parent company, Luminondi, which has met and maintained a zero carbon policy for the whole group since 2020.
Luminox and its brand ambassador Mr Grylls are also supporters of the Earth Day climate awareness iniative.
“Earth Day has a special meaning to me as I spend so much time in the wild on my many adventures. This new timepiece from Luminox is both great for keeping time and for helping the environment by utilizing #Tide upcycled materials,” Mr Grylls says.
The Survival Masters collection uses Ronda quartz chronograph movements. They retail for $790.
