IWC and Mercedes-AMG have collaborated on a limited edition Pilot’s Chronograph that uses the same carbon fiber for its dial as a world beating Mercedes Formula 1 car.
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “AMG” focuses as much on power to weight ratio as a racing car.
It has a 43mm lightweight titanium case driven by IWC’s in house manufactured 69385 automatic chronograph movement with 46 hour power reserve.
The Mercedes-AMG logo is displayed on a tinted sapphire crystal case back.
The timepiece is fitted with a black embossed calf leather strap with contrast stitching and folding clasp.
The Swiss luxury watchmaker and German car manufacturer have been partners since 2004.
“IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-AMG share both a passion for performance and design, as well as a commitment to engineering excellence down to the smallest detail. Over the last 17 years of our partnership, IWC and AMG have shared exhilarating moments in motor sport and beyond and we have created many lasting memories for our clients. Today we are proud to introduce Mercedes-AMG as a permanent feature of our Pilot‘s Watch Collection, starting with the Pilot‘s Watch Chronograph Edition “AMG”, says Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of IWC.
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “AMG” can be pre-ordered for £8,500 online at IWC.com, through IWC boutiques and authorised retail partners.
