Angelus, the Swiss watch company brought back to life in 2011, has brought out its latest skeletonised piece in the form of a divers’ watch.
The U50 Diver’s Tourbillon is a completely skeletonised divers’ watch that still has the legibility integral to divers.
With its core functions – hours, minutes, small seconds and one-minute flying tourbillon – the A-300 caliber has 23 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement and measures just 4.3 millimetres in thickness and 32.8 millimetres in diameter.
The in-house movement displays the central rhodium plated hours and minutes hands in yellow and blue, a small seconds subdial at the half 9 position and the tourbillion at the half 6.
In order to be completely skeletonised, the usual ceramic bezel is instead replaced with a yellow and blue flange that is rotated by a secondary crown found at the 4 o’clock, sitting below the regular crown found at the 2.
The 45mm titanium watch comes with a rubber strap.
