A new space race to return astronauts to the Moon is underway and NASA’s favourite wristwatch maker from the 1960s, Omega, is once again looking to the stars.
A new collection of Constellation watches has been introduced that each have unique dials made from slices of the Muonionalusta meteorite, which is believed to be over 4.5 billion years old and landed in Scandinavia around one million years ago.
The collection houses Constellation watches in four sizes: 41mm, 29mm, 28mm and 25mm.
There are five dial colours, making up a total of 20 references across the range.
The largest 41mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer comes in stainless steel with a black ceramic bezel. The meteorite dial has been given a rhodium-grey galvanic colour treatment.
Smaller options for ladies include a gold and steel 29mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer with a dial given a PVD Moonshine Gold finish. It has diamond hour markers and a diamond-paved bezel.
Both the 28mm and 25mm diamond-decorated models are bi-colour steel and gold with meteorite dial colours including icy blue and lilac.
The collection is on sale now with prices starting from £8,000.
