Hublot expects the US market to play an important role in its global revenues in the coming year said chairman Jean-Claude Biver.
The brand has five stores in the US and generates about 14% of its global sales from the country. A sixth store is set to open up in Atlanta in August.
Biver said luxury watches like Hublot were protected from a pullback given their scarcity.
Hublot, is a part of LVMH, and sells about 30,000 watches a year ranging in price from $5,000 to $5 million.
The watches and jewellery unit of LVMH generated $2.5 billion, or 8% of the group’s revenue, in 2011.
