Hamilton has revealed two of its hero pieces for 2016 that will be shown at Baselworld next month.
The Frogman, due to arrive in June, is a recreation of a historic diver’s watch created for US Navy ‘frogman’ and a watch that earned Hamilton its first onscreen appearance, in the 1951 hit movie The Frogmen. Hamilton has since gone on secure 450 appearances in films, most recently including Interstellar and The Martian.
The new 2016 Khaki Navy Frogman is sportier and more rugged, featuring a crown-protection device, and presented in two models. The 42mm stainless steel black and blue bezel versions are water resistant to 300m, while the 46mm titanium red bezel model is water resistant to 1000m and features a helium release valve. Each watch uses an H10 automatic movement with 80 hours power reserve.
Hamilton also introduces the ‘sporty urban’ Broadway collection in 2016 with a 40mm Day Date Quartz, 42mm Day Date Automatic and 43mm Automatic Chronograph each featuring power reserves between 60 and 80 hours.
