Earlier this year WatchPro unveiled its Watches of the Year 2013, made up of 10 winning timepieces and 90 highly commended watches that we felt boasted commercial appeal, innovation and had wowed consumers and retailers alike over the past 12 months.
Highly commended for the WatchPro Trendsetting Watch of the Year 2013 was the Kennett Rose Gold on Black Challenger.
Creating a watch that seamlessly makes the transition from the office into the weekend is a holy grail for watch designers, which is why Kennett got it so right this year with the Challenger watch with rose gold and carbon fibre dial and black leather strap.
The chronograph, driven by a Miyota Japanese engineered OS20 quartz movement, is a convincing fusion of sports watch and dress watch styles.
Made from stainless steel with rose gold, black or chrome ion plating, the case has a stylish tonneau cushion shape with two pushers set either side of the crown. The round dial is available with carbon fibre, white or silver options, with a fixed tachymeter chapter ring.
The centre cluster of chronograph sub dials records 24 hours, minutes and seconds, while a date function is included at the 4 o’clock position.
Taking any hint of flimsy out of fashion, this timepiece not only looks great but has the functionality to make it a true hit.
