The Big Watch Shop officially launched online yesterday, six months after its founder Matt Brailsford said it was building a specialist retail site dedicated to oversized watches.
The site features three brands – Metal.CH, Navy Seals and Military Watch Group (MWG) – with the watches laid out in scrolling style, with large sized imagery to match the case sizes of the timepieces. The brands have RRPs upwards of £245.
Brailsford told WatchPro in May this year that he was in talks with suppliers after signing up three brands. He said: “We’ll only have a small collection of what we feel are some of the best, affordable, brands out there as we want to do justice to the brands we represent, rather than just bombarding customers with endless options.”
The company has launched dedicated Facebook and Twitter pages to build consumer awareness, with the retail arm launching just in time for Christmas.
