T H Baker expansion creates space for watch brands

T H Baker has relocated its Brighton store to a larger 2,000sq ft premises on Churchill Square, with doors set to open this month.

The new space will feature dedicated watch boutiques for brands including TAG Heuer and Breitling. It was relocated due to a growing need for space to accommodate watch and jewellery brands.

The store will be headed by manager Zoe Evans and its opening has helped to create several new jobs, part of T H Baker’s plans to "to ensure customers have the best advice and service possible"

T H Baker co-director Phil Higgs said: "We are extremely excited about the expansion of our Brighton branch; the jewellery industry is heading in a brand lead direction and we are finding that the existing store is too small to accommodate this.

"The expansion has enabled us to attract prestigious watch brands such as TAG Heuer and Breitling and will allow for larger brand areas. We hope to achieve a greater presence within Brighton and we are of course delighted that the venture will create new jobs in the process."

The family-run jewellery business is currently celebrating its 125th anniversary. In the past 10 years the business has expanded into Worcestershire, Shropshire and the West Midlands, with plans for more stores in effect.
