Hublot has produced a limited number of special edition watches to commemorate Wayne Rooney’s testimonial at Old Trafford this week.
The Manchester United forward took on his old club Everton and to mark the occasion Hublot named two special watches after the England captain.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition ‘Wayne Rooney’ in titanium will be limited to 65 pieces, while the 18-carat King Gold model will be limited to just two pieces. The entire run of both pieces will be donated to the Wayne Rooney Foundation, which the testimonial match was in aid of.
Both models feature a red 10 in the 10 o’clock position in reference to Rooney’s Manchester United shirt number, while the case back is decorated with the words ‘Wayne Rooney Testimonial 2016’ and his signature.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, said: “We are delighted to offer the two special edition Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition ‘Wayne Rooney’ watches to support Wayne in his fantastic charity work. Football has the power to change the world and Hublot is proud to be the number one watch brand in the game.”
Funds raised from Rooney’s charity match and the various other testimonial events supported by Hublot are being distributed through the Foundation’s four chosen charities: the NSPCC, Claire House Hospice, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the Manchester United Foundation.
