German watch brand A. Lange & Sohne has gifted a one-of-a-kind Lange 1 Time Zone to the winner of the Concorso d’Eleganza classic car meet in Lake Como, Italy.
Canadian David Cohen scooped the dual timezone timepiece with his Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS 6th Series Coupe, with a body dating from 1933.
He was presented the watch by Lange’s chief executive Wilhelm Schmid at a gala dinner at the Villa d’Este on Lake Como.
Cohen’s new watch is a dual timezone model specially designed with the Central European Time zone represented by the town of Como in homage to the competition.
It was the first time that the brand had sponsored the event, which was founded back in 1929 to celebrate the beauty and design of cars and automobiles.
The public event was said to have attracted some 6,000 visitors.
