IWC Schaffhausen is turning 150 next year and to celebrate the milestone the company will unveil a Jubilee Collection at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watch fair in January.
The showcase will have 27 limited-edition models from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot’s Watches and Da Vinci families. All the watches will have imprinted dials in white or blue, an effect achieved by a process of applying several layers of lacquer, reminiscent of heritage enamelled finishes.
Eye-catching launches shown in advance to WatchPro include a Tribute to Pallweber Edition 150 Years (Ref. IW505002) an 18-carat red gold-cased wristwatch that features the original digital hours and minute display as on the Pallweber pocket watches back in 1884.
In the Portugieser family, IWC is introducing a Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition “150 Years” (Ref. IW590202) with a platinum case and a Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Edition “150 Years” (Ref. IW504501) that combines a perpetual calendar with a tourbillon on the dial for the first time in an 18-carat gold case.
There are also going to be two Da Vinci models in 18ct rose gold for ladies: an Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition “150 Years” (Ref. IW459304) and the Da Vinci Automatic Edition “150 Years”.
