Hamilton is hoping the spirit of New York’s legendary theatre district will spark sales of its Broadway collection of automatic chronographs.
The collection, first shown by the Swatch Group brand at Baselworld earlier this year, draws inspiration from New York’s city skyline to create a modern and sporty timepiece with an American style.
Broadway comes in three versions: a 40mm day date quartz option, a 42mm day date automatic option and a 43mm automatic chrono. Automatic models feature power reserves ranging between 60 and 80 hours.
The clean black dials are built along vertical lines that are picked up on the decorative ring below the bezel and crown.
A central line on the dial is described as reminiscent of the Broadway street running between skyscrapers.
The line all the way along the smooth leather strap with its visible stitching, and is echoed in the contrasting finishes of the triple-row bracelet.
