For this year’s Baselworld, Bulgari is going against the trend and making its two showstopper watches part of the ladies’ line-up.
First up from Bulgari is its Divas’ Dream Minute Repeater, claimed to be the world’s thinnest repeater, housing a 1.95mm Finissimo movement.
The 18kt pink gold case sports set diamonds around the bezel and lugs, along with a transparent caseback and a crown set with a facetted diamond.
The 37mm piece sports a dial crafted in black lacquer and speckled with gold dust using the Japanese artisanal Urushi technique. The dial also boasts a small seconds function, set with diamonds and hour markers also using diamonds as the indicators.
This limited 5-piece ladies watch comes with a black alligator strap, also fitted with diamonds.
The second limited edition timepiece for ladies is the 50-piece Divas’ Dream Tourbillon.
This piece is a 37mm, 18kt pink gold watch that is dripping with diamonds. 76 of them are set onto the case and lugs, along with a crown set with a cabochon-cut rubellite.
Similar to Bulgari’s other showstopper, the head-turner feature of the watch is the dial, in this case being open-worked with a hand-painted phoenix and flame motifs. This yellow, orange and blue bird took three full days of work, the brand claims.
Beneath the painting is the Calibre BVL 208 movement, with hours and minutes, 64-hour power reserve, and power reserve indication. Of course, as the name suggests, there is also a skeletonised tourbillon movement at 6 o’clock.
The piece comes with a red alligator leather strap secured by a triple-blade 18kt pink gold folding clasp set with diamonds.
