Luxury watch brands were the star players at Beaverbrooks over the festive trading period.
The watch and jewellery retailer described this year’s festive haul as satisfactory, noting that sales were up on Christmas 2011.
While he didn’t name particular brands, Beaverbrooks chief executive Daniel Brown said that “premium watch brands stood out” over the festive trading period.
Beaverbrooks carries a number of prestige watch brands including Omega, Breitling, Bremont, TAG Heuer and Maurice Lacroix.
The retail chain held off on discounting until after Christmas but has been running a January sale that has included a number of its prestige watch brands as well as fashion timepieces from brands including Thomas Sabo, Bering, DKNY and Rotary.
Brown said that he is feeling very optimistic about trading in 2013.
