Herbelin has enjoyed considerable success with its sportiest watches in recent years, and is building on that momentum with a fresh version of its lightweight Newport Carbone Titane with the addition of a blue-dialed piece with a practical day/date display.
The original Carbone Titane was made in 2022 as part of a partnership with Frenchman Aurélien Ducroz, a two-time World Freeride Ski Champion who later turned to competitive sailing.
Like that collaboration piece, the latest Newport comes in a 43mm x 12.45mm black DLC-coated titanium and carbon case with exposed screws on its carbon bezel.
Its blue dial is stamped with an ocean currents map of Saint-Malo, where the Route du Rhum trans-Atlantic sailing race in which Mr Ducroz competes, takes place.
The watch is made in France but powered by a Swiss-made automatic Sellita SW220-1 movement with a customised Herbelin rotor.
